Sending a message from a patient record
Wherever a patient is in context in Jump, there is an option to send them a message, either by email or by SMS if you have SMS credits loaded. Message templates can include merge fields to pull in information such as the patient's last appointment, so you are not typing the same details by hand each time.
Snippets let you insert regularly used bits of text, such as parking information or a reminder to bring a medications list, without rewriting them each time you compose a message.
Adding links, tasks and booking options
Messages can include links to a combination of tasks. This might be a questionnaire to complete, a one time reply, a booking link that lets a patient book a specific appointment, a document to view, a contextual article such as content from patient.info, or a link to complete an ID check through the integrated ID solution.
When sending a message, you choose who each task is assigned to. The patient receives the message on a branded template, which can be adapted to match your practice's own branding. To open the link and see their tasks, the patient enters their date of birth first.
Patients can then work through the tasks they've been sent, for example completing a customised questionnaire followed by a quick reply. Reply links are useful for post appointment follow up, such as asking a patient to send a photo of a wound a few days after stitches have been added, and patients can upload attachments if needed.
Reviewing patient responses in the admin portal
Once a patient has completed their tasks, you can return to the Jump admin portal to see everything that's been shared. This includes the original outbound message alongside each reply, such as a pre booking questionnaire and a quick reply submission.
From here you can save the response to the patient's record as a consultation, download it as a PDF, or share it with another healthcare professional. If a colleague needs to review a submission, you can reassign it to a different team member, and you can also set the status and priority of the message.
