Creating a membership plan
Membership lets you set up subscriptions so patients can join your clinic and become a member. To create one, go into configuration and scroll down to the memberships tab, where you can add a new plan. You choose the billable product you want to charge the patient for and set pricing on a monthly, quarterly or annual basis.
You can also set a colour for the membership, choose how it's displayed, and add an icon to run alongside the membership badge. For each plan you decide what benefits members receive, such as access to members-only appointments or forms, whether they're denoted as a member in the app, and whether they get particular discounts.
Once a plan exists, you can sell it to individual patients, which creates a policy. There's also functionality to create a link so membership can be bought through your website.
Adding a patient to a membership
To make a single patient a member, go into their record, then billing and memberships, and create a membership. Pick the plan and set who the bill payer will be, whether that's the patient or someone else. You can put multiple patients on the same membership, for example a couples plan, and apply a discount code if one is available.
You then choose whether the membership activates on payment or activates as soon as it's created, in which case an invoice is sent to the patient to pay. Once active, the patient is shown in the app with the membership label. If a patient holds multiple memberships, you can set a hierarchy so their highest membership displays first.
Membership payments are handled automatically against the payment details the patient has provided.
Booking member-only appointments and the patient view
You can restrict specific appointment types to members within booking rules, for example limiting a slot to bronze members only. When a patient logs in to book, Jump checks their eligibility, along with the eligibility of any proxies, before letting them continue. A patient who isn't a member of the required plan is told they're not eligible for that service.
Within the patient portal, patients can see their memberships in a dedicated module in the sidebar. This shows any policies they haven't started as well as their active memberships.
