Navigating the Dashboard

Last updated: 2 June 2026

The dashboard is the first screen you see when you log in. It gives you a quick overview of your day and one-click access to the most common actions.

Quick Actions

At the top of the dashboard, four action cards let you jump straight into common tasks:

  • Schedule Appointment — open the appointment booking dialog
  • Send Message — compose a new message to a patient
  • Create Invoice — generate a new invoice
  • New Consultation — start a clinical consultation

Tip: The Get started button in the top-right corner opens the command palette, which lets you quickly search for patients, actions, and more. You can also press Ctrl+K (or Cmd+K on Mac) to open it from anywhere.

Today's Diary

If your organisation has scheduling configured, the Today's Diary widget shows your upcoming appointments for the day. Each entry shows the time, patient name, and appointment type.

My Tasks

The My Tasks widget shows tasks assigned to you, sorted by urgency. You can click any task to view its details, or click through to the full Tasks page.

Next Steps

From the dashboard you can:

  • Learn about the sidebar navigation
  • Find and add patients
  • Set up your profile and preferences

Home dashboard at /app

Landing at /app after login opens a personalised home dashboard rather than jumping straight into the calendar:

  • Consulting Room tile mirrors the consulting-room sidebar app — today's consults are one click away
  • Rest of today is scoped to you as the logged-in clinician; the tile is clickable even when empty
  • Inbox tile previews unread patient messages and tasks
  • Row drawers — click any appointment, task or message row and it opens in a drawer in place; you don't leave home to investigate

Use the sidebar to jump to other apps (calendar, patients, inbox, settings) as before.
