Pathology results from labs like TDL arrive in the filing queue as structured data with an accompanying PDF. The filing viewer gives you multiple ways to review them before filing.
When you open a pathology result, the document viewer has several tabs:
| Tab | What It Shows |
|---|---|
| Preview | A formatted summary of the result |
| Result | Structured analyte table with values, units, reference ranges, and abnormal flags |
| The original PDF from the lab, plus an annotated Jump PDF | |
| Lab Documents | Any linked reference documents |
| Details | Extracted metadata (test name, order number, accession number, lab name) |
| Audit | Timeline of all actions taken on this filing item |
The Result tab displays each analyte as a row with:
Abnormal results are clearly flagged so you can identify them at a glance.
Two PDF views are available:
You can download or print either version.
Once finalised, the result appears in the patient's Investigations section in their clinical record.
In the filing queue sidebar, toggle Abnormal Only to show only lab results that contain at least one abnormal analyte. This helps you prioritise results that need clinical attention.
Tip: You can link a pathology result to an existing referral using the referral linker in the filing actions panel.
