By default, the Tasks page opens on My tasks — the work assigned to you or to a team you're part of. That's why you might not see a colleague's tasks straight away. Nothing is hidden from you: everyone in your practice can see every task in the organisation. You just need to switch the view.
Switch to see the whole practice's tasks
Use the list on the left-hand side of the Tasks page to change what you're looking at:
- Practice → All tasks — every open task across the whole practice, whoever it's assigned to. This is the quickest way to see other clinicians' work.
- Teams — pick a team to see the tasks assigned to that team.
- Deputising for — if you're covering for a colleague who's away, their tasks appear here too. (See Cover a colleague's tasks with a deputy.)
Filter to one specific colleague
From any view, use the Assignee filter in the toolbar to narrow the list to a particular person — handy when you only want to see one clinician's tasks rather than the whole practice.
Good to know
- There's no permission to switch on. Task visibility isn't controlled by your role — every active member of the practice can already view all tasks. If a colleague's tasks aren't showing, you're simply on the My tasks view; switch to All tasks or a Team to see them.
- "My tasks" is just a starting filter, so your list isn't cluttered with the whole practice's work when you first open the page. Change it whenever you need the wider view.
