Clinician Tags

Last updated: 13 July 2026

Overview

Clinician tags let you categorise and group clinicians using custom labels. Tags make it easier to filter clinicians across the system, for example by speciality, department, or working pattern.

Creating Tags

  1. Navigate to Settings → Practice Setup → Clinicians, then open the Tags tab.
  2. Click Create Tag and enter a name for the tag (e.g. "GP Partner", "Locum", "Nurse Practitioner").
  3. Optionally assign a colour to help distinguish tags visually.
  4. Save the tag.

Assigning Tags to Clinicians

  1. Go to Settings → Practice Setup → Clinicians and open the clinician you want to tag.
  2. Go to the Tags & Signature step, which is the last one (after Details and Registration).
  3. Select one or more tags from the list.
  4. Click Save.

A clinician can have multiple tags assigned simultaneously.

Managing Tags

The Tags management tab provides a central view of all tags in use. From here you can:

  • Rename a tag — the change is reflected everywhere the tag is used.
  • Delete a tag — it will be removed from all clinicians who had it assigned.
  • Review usage — see how many clinicians are assigned to each tag.

How Tags Are Used

  • Filter clinicians in lists and dropdowns across the system.
  • Group clinicians for reporting or scheduling purposes.
  • Quickly identify clinician roles or categories at a glance.
