Connecting Stripe

Stripe is the payment platform that powers invoicing and payment collection in Jump. You need to connect a Stripe account before you can create invoices or accept payments.

What Stripe Enables

Once connected, you can:

  • Create and send invoices to patients
  • Accept card payments online and in person
  • Manage products and prices for your services
  • Use Stripe Terminal for in-person card readers
  • Issue refunds and credit notes
  • Access the Stripe Dashboard for detailed financial reporting

How to Connect

  1. Go to Settings in your organisation
  2. Find the Stripe section under Integrations
  3. Click Connect Stripe
  4. You will be redirected to Stripe to authorise the connection
  5. Sign in to your existing Stripe account, or create a new one
  6. Review the permissions and click Authorise
  7. You are redirected back to Jump with Stripe connected

Jump uses Stripe Connect, which means your Stripe account remains yours - Jump acts as a platform that helps you process payments.

Platform Fees

Your organisation may have a platform fee configured. This is a percentage that is applied to each invoice and collected by the platform. The fee percentage is visible in your billing settings.

Accessing the Stripe Dashboard

You can access your full Stripe Dashboard directly from Jump:

  • Go to Settings > Stripe
  • Click Open Stripe Dashboard
  • This generates a secure login link to your connected Stripe account

The Stripe Dashboard provides detailed reporting on payments, payouts, and disputes.

Disconnecting Stripe

If you need to disconnect your Stripe account:

  1. Go to Settings > Stripe
  2. Click Disconnect
  3. Confirm the disconnection

Disconnecting will prevent new invoices from being created and payments from being collected. Existing invoices and payment records are preserved in Jump.

Tip: Make sure your Stripe account has charges enabled and is fully onboarded before attempting to create invoices. You can check your account status in Settings.
