After creating a schedule, you can update most of its settings in place — only the clinician and location stay locked.
Two settings define the schedule's identity and cannot be changed after creation:
To change either, create a new schedule.
When you update times, recurrence, appointment types, or video settings, the change applies to future sessions that:
Sessions you've manually adjusted, or that already have bookings, are left untouched. A preview shows you exactly how many sessions will be affected before you save, so you can spot any clashes before committing.
If you change the days or times of a schedule that already has booked appointments on future sessions, those sessions stay where they are — only the un-booked future sessions are regenerated to match the new pattern. This means you can correct a misconfigured schedule (for example, an extra weekday ticked by mistake) even after bookings have been made, without disturbing the patients who've already booked.
If you need a booked session to move as well, edit that individual session from the Sessions tab, or cancel and rebook it.
If you try to remove an appointment type that has bookings on future sessions, you'll see a warning. You'll need to cancel those appointments first, or edit the individual sessions instead.
For one-off changes, use the Sessions tab in the schedule editor to modify individual occurrences without affecting the rest of the schedule.
